It's hard being a Dodger fan. 3rd time in a row our hopes go up to crush them instantly. I won't be getting my Hope's up next year even if they go to the ws and win 3 games in a row.

Might as well lose in the first round and save us all the trouble since this Dodgers team has no chance winning the World Series.

  • TheSimpsonsSeeker1998 is back

This leaves Los Angeles Dodgers without a World Series win since 1988.
(I was just saying this since I deeply care for the Dodgers because they play their home games at the world’s largest baseball stadium by number of seating capacity.)

Dodgers biggest mistake in 2019 was not keeping Yu Darvish. Once Darvish became healthy and fixed his tipped pitches, Yu was dominant throughout the second half of the season with the Cubs.

What is crazy to me is 2 out of 3 of those last 3 runs being scored were actually on VERY well-located pitches. Props to the Nationals bats more than the loss of Kershaw to me in this one Who noticed that?

      AmericanGiant100 Day ago

liduck52 You probably mean the NY Giants (now the SF Giants in National League) vs the Washington Senators (now Minnesota Twins in AL) in 1924. Still considered the best World Series in the pre modern era aka before players of “color” was fully allowed to play.

This was so great! I am glad it happened against a Dave Roberts team. Roberts treated Kendrick like a scrub did not play him in favor of a washed up Chase Utley at 2nd base. Martinez was doing the same thing for quite awhile with Dozier and Cabrera every though Kendrick was hitting over .300. He got wise in the playoffs.

The curse of the "best record" that many Dodger fans were bragging about. I have to laugh at Dodger fans - they love Kershaw then blame him for the loss.

  • 《Thee Sweet Science》

Ok. I'm getting blasted by the double whammy of baseball pain this year especially.
My Phillies had that season we all know was a fiasco (dont hurt me TOO bad commenters)... and now the team that he left to come to our side, may sprint to a world series war, having been better and gone further than they ever did with Harper.
    Like, BIG ouch.
    Let's go HARP.
    I'm still ride or die.
    This is ruff.
    But still ride or die.

My Dad is 80, born and raised in Brooklyn. He has watched the Dodgers for a long time , worked at Ebbets Field selling beer then moved to Los Angeles when the Dodgers did.
    Our conversation for the last 31 years on the phone;
Me : Hey dad, did you watch the game?
Dad: No Ger, it’s too stressful, I just can’t watch them anymore. But Larry called me a minute ago and told me what happened.
Kershaw choked and then a former Dodger hit a grand slam.
    Me: Yeah , I can’t believe it, I just don’t understand.
Dad: We will win next year, don’t worry kid !
    Me: I hope so too
