No one would be as great without their weapons. What a profoundly stupid argument to make. So Brady's legacy is forever in question because his stats aren't the same without Randy Moss as they were with him? Same with Joe Montana without Rice....

Not 1 receiver on the Chiefs roster was drafted in the first round (except Watkins who was drafted by the Bills in 2014...and not a primary target). The receivers that were on the roster before Mahomes were considered good, but not great...they didn’t make Alex Smith great. Face it, Mahomes is a once-in-a-lifetime talent...not question!

This is the dumbest analysis how can a quarterback be good if he doesn’t have a supporting cast people have said oh Tom Brady doesn’t have the weapons to win come on man I’ve never seen a quarterback win a game alone this is a team sport so this conversation is a waste of time that’s like a boxer who is undefeated and good but a person says he hasn’t fought anyone he can’t help it if no one in his class can beat him and he doesn’t duck and dodge anyone stupid conversation

The only difference between Alex Smith’s team and Mahomes’ team is one player and that player is Pat Mahomes. Mahomes’ team is a near copy and paste of Smith’s. The WRs, RB, and TE are the exact same. Smith lost to the titans and Mahomes is in the Super Bowl. SAS argument is “completely asinine” and borderline “ blasphemous!”

Bengals should have hired Eric Bienemy.
He played for the Bengals in the 90s. He's proven that he can coach. I.dont even wanna get into it.. Makes me mad.
Yet.. We have Zac Taylor. Smh

Errr ... I'm pretty sure Alex Smith had Tyreek, Kelce and a 1000+ yard running back in Kareem Hunt - which is more than can be said of this Kansas City squad. Don't recall him getting as hot as Mahomes.

Newsflash Stephen A, Alex Smith had the exact same Weapons a year before Pat started, what did he ever do with them? Oh yea... NOTHING

  • CQB315
    CQB315 26 days ago

    Mahomes: Kelce, Hill
    Big Ben: Leveon, AB, Juju
    Rodgers: Davante, Aaron Jones
    Brees: Kamara, Thomas
    Matt Ryan: Julio, Ridley
    Dak: Zeke, Cooper
    Jimmy G: Kittle, Sanders, Deebo

Give Mahomes any of these other weapons, he doin the same thing. Stephen A., im sorry but Williams, Watkins, and Hardman are not elite lol. They're only really good right now because of the greatness of Mahomes.

No QB in the league would be AS good as they are without some of their offensive weapons. That's literally just a fact. Some qbs are able to overachieve with their weapons, like russell wilson, which I don't think mahomes would do as well, but we don't know

I loved Alex Smith when he was here and I wish him the best but if he was still lined up under center instead of Mahomes when we went down 24 points against the Texans it would have been over. In 2017 Smith had Kelce, Hill, AND Hunt and the best we could do was go 10-6 and lose in the Wild Card YET AGAIN. So as talented as the guys around him are Mahomes has been the influencer for the elevation of play not the other way around. Everybody sees it but only the haters don't want to admit it sadly.

Tom Brady wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
Payton Manning wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
Joe Montana wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
Big Ben wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
Kurt Warner wouldn’t be as great without his offensive weapons
You can say this about any great quarterback ever. It’s a stupid argument. It’s a team sport.

Honestly, I hate that sports analysts do this. How are you going to call a team great and say the players are elite, then call their individual greatness into question and try to cause rifts to make someone go on their own and “prove” themselves as an individual. Just be happy with their team as a whole. I’m sick of people questioning players based on the people around them. That’s how anyone becomes great. This question is ridiculous
