Bayern Munich win the Champions League! How they ‘bossed’ PSG while playing in first gear | ESPN FC

  • Published on Aug 23, 2020
  • ESPN FC’s Alejandro Moreno, Craig Burley, Frank Leboeuf and Dan Thomas react after Bayern Munich defeat Paris Saint-Germain to be crowned 2020 UEFA Champions League winners. Leboeuf decries the many wasted chances by PSG’s attacking stars like Kylian Mbappé and Neymar, while Moreno points out how Hansi Flick adjusted Bayern’s tactics to start goal scorer Kingsley Coman and have left back Alphonso Davies sit back more than expected. The group try to dissect why Neymar and Mbappé failed to step up to the big occasion in PSG’s first-ever Champions League final.

Hypocrite Station they think and thought EPL is expensive and they suppose to win everything so whenever is goes to different countries they don't like... For me German Football has future more than English football the reason is EPL is full of foreigners... 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 Germany always in a right path

Psg was scared of Bayern attacking and their playing style so psg played so defensively. Other wise Bayeen would have scored more goals.. Indeed psg missed their best chances at starting bt bayern was heavy to psg.

Why did nobody of those "experts" made the point that the midfield decided the game. Bayern and PSG are maybe comparable in defense and Attack but Bayerns midfield is definitley superior to PSG's. Goretzka is the engine and Thiago the creative

To me both teams had equal opportunities. Lewandowski with the post was unfortunate. Psg is a team that counter attacks really good but they didnt execute the proper way. Bayern was better. They were more composed b that won the game

I remember crying after a game we lost when I was 9 or 10. I didnt play particularly well but was still disappointed. My dad came up to me and asked "did you try your hardest?" And I replied "no" and he told me "then you have no reason to be upset with anyone than yourself." How has neymar not learned this at 29??

Funny how lewa almost scored with his back to goal but mbappe and neymar can shoot 1v1 or inside the box with any sort of power. These guys arent worth 100mil let alone 200 mil. Overrated. Their skillfull wingers that can create chances. Nothing more and plenty of players just like them! Sancho and gnabry are just as good

The reason PSG made it to the final is because they played teams that we're not that strong!!! Let's be honest please!!!
Even if there was no pandemic, Bayern wins the title for sure and PSG might not have made it to final with regular season matches!!!
Lewandowski for sure breaks Cristiano goal record if he Bayern plays 2 games against Barca and Lyon

All credits to Bayern they deserved to win the game. And Manuel Neuer showed that he's the best keeper in the world (This is coming from a Bayern Hater).
But they clearly didn't "Boss" the game. I don't know which game Craig Burley was watching ?! If Bayern bossed the game, Neuer wouldn't have to make world class saves, and Mbappe wouldn't get the ball so close to the goal.
According to me PSG were the better team in the first half, they had the better chances, were pressing well, and Bayern only created half a chance.
On another day maybe Mbappe would've converted, Coman would've not and PSG would've won. And then these same buffoons would be talking about how bad bayern played and nobody showed up, and would be praising Neymar as the best player in the world.
    Garbage punditry ffs. 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Aryan Patil
Aryan Patil 3 months ago +1

Stop it on Neymar already !
I saw the guy trying to create a goal attack after attack the entire match. I know he didn't have that much of an impact on the game, but you have no right to say he didn't try.
There was nothing wrong with his attitude, not showboating like 2 years ago. He showed up and took responsibility every time this season.
And fyi, he didn't "miss" that chance. He placed it as perfectly as anyone could've, and Neuer still saved. Instead of criticizing Neymar for not scoring, praise Neuer for saving it.

It was exactly what was expected. PSG was the team with the best defense in this UCL season and Bayern played very aggressive pressing as expected. People only mentioned the impressive offenses and forgot the equally impressive defenses. Marquinhos and Silva were so strong as much as Alaba and Kimmich only to mention a couple of the players. Also Neymar, di Maria and Mbappe were always doubled or even tripled, cut them some slack.
