Maradona was a god worldwide... InTrinidad n Tobago where I'm from, he was the talk of the day. We played as kids trying to emulate his moves. Sad day! Very moving interview, very fitting!
Say what you will, in Italy people watched Napoli games just to see him play. I heard people criticize him for his personal life, and to them i can only say that while they wrong his memory, he changed the world. Last thing i'll say is that I looked up to him whenever i played football.
Well said, Alejandro.
Maradona represent everything in football Maradona is football football is maradona
He was an anti imperialist meaning against USA IMPERALISM/hegemoni pro palestine pro Cuba pro vhavista Venezuela. Always took Side with THE thirdworld oppressed people! Thats is part what make him such a legend.
The second best footballer ever
why a girl? ....
Idol to Billions..... Greatest Ever...I remember 82⚽️WC King, Legend
MARADONA THE GREAT....footballer !
His personal life is nobody's business .
Rest in peace
Passionate artist in the pitch. Everyone could relate to his spirit and humaness. We are all in search of the spirit and the hero. He delivered passionately. At the same time he didn't hide his flaws, consequently more we adored the beast and his crass. Absolute legend!
Diego, you were the best and will always remain the best for billions of fans. I hope you can rest now. Be up there and rest with God. It would be nice to see you back on Earth though. Watch you reincarnate. Remember your past and not to re-do the same errors(out of the field). Because of you mainly I become a fan of soccer. I grew up in Montreal in a Portuguese, Hispanic and Québécois neighborhood. I started playing soccer in school during recess with mostly Portuguese and Latinos. Then came 1986. My first World Cup that I followed and remembered was Mexico '86. And wow!!! You were the wizard on the field. A magician. A player out of this world. I cried when Argentina lost the final in Italy '90. That call from the referee, I think, was questionable. To lose that way hurts a lot. Rest in peace Diego Armando Maradona.
Am i the only one that never liked him?
It seems so.
Rest in peace Diego!!! Respect forever!!!

The greatest ever Diego will never be forgotten .🇦🇷⚽️ YNWA
Well said Mr Moreno. Respect
He loved the Argentinian jersey so much that he would do anything that it would take to win the match against the English and bring the Cup home and return the pride to Argentina, who had lost the Falkland Islands to the English 4 years prior
Africa loves Maradona. May you rest in peace.
"I made mistakes, and I payed. But don't ever mess with the ball" - Diego
In my heart, I'm Palestinian.
~ Diego Armando Maradona
Cristina will never be remembered or talked about like Diego Maradona. Foolish people call him the best ever because of his stats which over 200 of his goals are penalties and tap ins not to mention his childish behaviour on individual awards.
all he did in the pitch is what matters to me. He was a god on the football pitch. The greatest ever.
He was Argentina's Steve Nicol. Irreplaceable skill and talent.
The idea of pundits is that they are people whose opinion you are interested in. Nobody cares what this donkey thinks.
the man was a cheat
My idol and a legend. Maradona made me love football.
You are the best
I have one thing to say Why 2020 just why?
God bless his soul. He was a the greatest player of all time.
Our Diego never dies. there is no substitute for him.
Pray for his spirit
One word.
CHEAT.
i still can’t believe that he died ...
CHHHEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
A REAL LEGEND IN WORLD OF FOOTBALL .. will miss him a lot but he'll remain in our heart ......REST IN PEACE A LEGEND
The Greatest Soccer player the World have ever seen. Single handedly defeated the Greatest Team on Earth (Great Brazil) , brought No body Napoli from no where to the Top. etc etc etc.
There will never be another
The fact that Alejandro Moreno a venezuelan is saying greats things about Maradona after he supported Chavismo just shows how great Maradona was.
I guess cocaine makes you play really good
Why didn’t more players do it? Why weren’t there dozens and dozens of coked up players at his level in the 1980s? Why was he by far the best player at his peak?
wait but you know he played for an Italian team right? espn isn’t supposed to respect any serie a teams or players..
What Diego Maradona meant to millions of people is unforgettable - If you cheat you can win
He was to Football, what Mozart was to music!
The greatest ever. No disrespect to Messi and New Ronaldo, but this guy was light years ahead of everyone.
Maradona probably has more fans in Kolkata India than buenos aires...thats how big he was
AD10S MARADONA..... 🙏🙏🙏
Maradonas, mere presence made all his contemporaries dwarf.
He was such a skillfull player with perfect physique, precision and speed,
God of football, no doubt,
1986 world cup through his magic, he converted brazilian fans of many countires to argentinian fans.
Our loss and heaven's gain of a passionate great footballer and a cultural leader.
Ony Messi was equal to Diego Maradona....but Maradona had that plus anger, fire AND he wouldn't stop...he'd fall but crawl to the ball....unstoppable...Leo too was tough to stop but he could be made to fall by fouls...Maradona still ran after the ball
We love Maradona
We respect Maradona
We salute Maradona
World's greatest footballer Maradona
if im his wife or ex wife. sure i will cry more. 😭💞
legend
We love you but God loved u most ,may ur soul rest in peace,an Argentine .U have done a great job of developing and showing how talent can be express,.. Good bye THE LEGEND..🌹🌹🥀🤭
If Messi himself can say Maradona is the greatest then fan boys and stat merchants just STFU!!!!!!
A true hero is gone! Gone for good....what a pain..I had wished to have a chance to meet him before his time was up! Football will never see anything better than Diego Amando Maradona, never , never! His second goal against England in 1986 was first named goal of the match, then goal of the tournament, then goal of the year, then goal of the decade, and they finally called it The Goal of the Century!....and along with that, Man of the Century! The consistency with which he used to switch from captaining Napoli to captain ing Agentina and just continue to deliver superbly on both fronts is ,and will remain, unparalleled, and forever! A unique and deadly combination of character, skill and tenacity created a larger than life personality in Diego. While he remained mortal, his works truly immortalised the mortal in the form unforgettable memories he has left behind. I join the Argentinians in mourning the legend, the epicentre of football artistry, a champion.
It is grate lost for footballer and fan around the world . I just want to say if he died because of drug abuse or effected by that in young time using it, why organizations who are responsible for protecting this kind of genius didn't do the proper protection on write time and write place specially when he was at his pick, I mean when he was 25 years and after that? Imagine all Argentinian could benefit from just having him sitting on the chair and observing the his national games. How much confident could each Argentinian player gain just having him out side of pitch? and watching the game. He could be with his people for minimum of another 4 or 5 world cup? look for Pele when he was watching the penalty shot in final game in 1994 between Brazil and Italy. Maradona always was unique player of his era.
Goat 🐐
I grew up on maradona. Thank you for such wonderful football memories👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
"He got sent off in a World Cup, he got sent home from a World Cup, he won a World Cup......." A genuine thanks for the memories. You will definitely be missed.
A true legend of the game. Gone but never forgotten
I am a football fan of another generation who never saw Maradona play. I just heard his stories from my uncle how great of a player he was. We lost a legend today. May he find peace in God's hands.

You brought the wrong guy for the interview..
A legend in all aspects has died!
Talking about 'regardless' what he became after football??
Just stfu please.
He still helped poor taught a generation and was an influence all over the world even for non football fans.
I mean the passion that sparked in his eyes everytime you see him tells it all.
He was a 16 years old kid and because God gifted him the talent of football he had to carry a whole country on his shoulders, gets bullied by italian mafia and facing challenges that wasn't meant for a teenage kid.
Maradona was and still the god of football.
The only condolence for me is that messi is still well and playing, enjoy it while it lasts.
May your soul rest in peace Diego.
if I see a muddy ball approaching me on my wedding day when I'm wearing my white suit I would still control it with my chest with happiness."
- Diego Armando Maradona ❤🙏
Thank you 🙏 for the paying such a tribute to the greatest of all time
😢
Maradona!! Something these people know nothing about!
I remember "terrorizing" my parents to keep buying me those Panini stickers in '86 just because I still didn't get Maradona yet and those packs were expensive in Indonesia. Ended up having him by trading out Rummenigge and Lineker. Remember it as clear as his 'hand of God" goal vs England.
If you split Maradona his character and skiĺl into two, what you would get is Ibrahimovich and Messi.
SINCEREST CONDOLENCES TO ALL FAMILY, FRIENDS & FANS OF DIEGO MARADONA.
THANX FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES & SKILFUL ENTERTAINMENT.
MY YOUNGER BROTHER MODELLED HIS DRIBBLING SKILLS LIKE MARADONA.
WE LOVED WATCHING MARADONA IN THE 1980'S
IN PAKISTAN, I WATCHED THE 1986 WORLD CUP, WHEN DIEGO MARADONA SCORED 'HAND OF GOD' GOAL FOR ARGENTINA AGAINST ENGLAND.
HE SKILLS HELPED ARGENTINA WIN THE 1986 WORLD CUP.
