I reckon he certainly regrets the decision not to take the offer. 40% from two dragons with a wealth of knowledge and experience is a snip.
Two wealthy dragons would have accelerated his business. Not just financially but with knowledge of the market and all the very important contacts.

40% is a pisstake , theo nearly agreed to 20% with full investment why would he want double the equity gone for the same price , they tried to use him for his royalty deal , to not even budge on 40% when his big break was with a coexisting deal they added no value ,good choice

The dragons are leaches. Always trying to be greedy. They are up themselves.
The comment about fifty thousand quid not being able to buy their consultancy was not only rude and arrogant but totally missed the point. The issue was them wanting to pocket 40% of the company.
The fifty grand was irrelevant. Well done for taking your beer and leaving them to have a sycophantic huff.

    • ejuve

The company is still going, but looking at the accounts, he's made very little from his invention. I would have taken a punt on an "if you get your money back, would you reduce your stake?" offer, but if they didn't accept that, I'd have taken the 40%. A lot of people that get offers and turn the Dragons down vastly underestimate how much influence and sway they have, and in some cases, getting an offer only validates their opinion that they could keep 100% of what could potentially be a fortune. It's a mistake though, usually.

12:27 What he meant to say is "he is that BLOODY SMART, for turning that down". Got himself free advice from the dragon's and this only confirms that he will take on the royalty road and I hope he makes millions millions from it. Way to take the 🍺's with you too!

Good solution! But why not plan the shelf levels of your fridge to accommodate an assortment of items. Tall bottles/milk go on the bottom, condiments go in the door, then sections of similar items (dairy/milk, fruit/veg) with the top shelf of leftovers and eat-me-soon items. Most people have a cluttered fridge so they can't find anything.
